Though I'd had Goldens for 50+ years, Dakota was my first well bred Golden, coming from Topbrass. She loved hunting and introduced me into the hunt test game. She blessed us with 3 beautiful litters. I could not have asked for a better temperament and wonderful momma dog! She was the perfect one to introduce me into the world of competition and breeding.
I cannot say enough about my beloved Maverick. He was loved and admired by everyone who met him. Not only was he my partner on the line in hunt tests, he joined me in my 2nd grade classroom, and spent many days retrieving waterfowl and pheasants in WI, ND, and SD. His versatility was amazing, being able to jump from the classroom to the field without a hitch. He will never be replaced and I feel him with me often.
Glow came to us from Tidewater Goldens in Canada. She was the sweetest thing ever, and also joined me in my 2nd grade classroom. Glow earned her SH title, and then became my husband's hunting dog (along with Maverick). She was a star in the field and never was a bird lost. Her nose and perseverance was second to none. She also blessed us with 3 beautiful litters and is momma to my Kicker.
Trek (Zaniri Journey to Wildwing USA MH,WCX,CCA) was our first Canadian addition to the Wildwing family. She came to us from Zaniri Goldens in Surrey, British Columbia with tremendous talent, a sweet temperament, and a fabulous work ethic.
Two time Master National Qualifier, with over 25 master hunter passes behind her, she grabbed the attention of judges and gallery, receiving compliments on her drive, intensity and pure love for retrieving. She easily transitioned from the hunt test competitions to top hunting partner and had hundreds of duck retrieves in North Dakota and Wisconsin. Trek's passion was tempered with a humorous side and she kept us all on our toes with her antics. I will forever miss her spins and barks at me while I was getting her food ready - though not fast enough for her liking. Trek was a wonderful momma to three litters of highly talented working/family dogs and has been awarded the GRCA's coveted title of "Total Golden". She is foundation to my current Wildwing girls, Raisin, Aime and Groove. After she retired from competition, she continued hunting until she was 14yo! She was a special, sassy girl, and I am so glad I have her lineage to enjoy!
